About The 72HD Wood Baseball Bat:

The 72HD wood baseball bat is a great option for the singles and doubles hitter with average to smaller hands who wants to increase bat speed without sacrificing durability to do so.

Similar to our B72 gap hitter's bat (which was copied from the bat Derek Jeter swung) that features a long barrel and thinner handle, the 72HD features a slightly shorter barrel to quicken up your swing even more. It maintains the thinner handle and traditional knob to catch your bottom hand that Jeter enjoyed. Grip it and rip it past the infielders with the 72HD.

All HD wooden bat models are crafted from the same high quality maple and birch woods as our other standard and pro wood bat models. To gain extra durability without sacrificing pop, the tweaked barrel is offset by the wood being denser (ie. harder). Denser wood equals a stronger bat and more energy transferred to the ball. Drive it in to the gaps with the 72HD wood baseball bat.

    Just got this bat in April and took it to the cages to give it a test run. From the very first contact, the ball jumped off my bat and felt great. The weight distribution is at the end and with the slimmer handle, I love how I have a lot of control throughout my swing. The sound this bat makes with every contact is so sweet. I bought the Birch bat to give me a little forgiveness and it showed too. In a BP session with a live machine, I hit 3 in a row on the hands and the bat held up beautifully. I’m a singles-doubles hitter who likes a lot of bat control at the top of the lineup and highly recommend this bat

    My experience with Phoenix has been phenomenal. My 17-year old’s team was in a tournament in Atlanta. My son didn’t realize until the last minute that it was a wood bat tournament. With college scouts at this tournament, I called Phoenix because I wanted a quality bat, instead of picking one up at a Wal-Mart. Phoenix built me a bat in 24hrs with personalized specs that I needed. Since we had to be in Atlanta by the next evening, we had to drive to the Phoenix production facility at 6:00 AM the next morning to pick up the bat on our way to Atlanta. That morning, Brad Taylor, Vice President, came in to the shop early, met me at the door and had the bat for me. Phoenix built a custom bat for my son within 24hrs and the Vice President of the company met us in the early morning hours to get us the bat. What a great experience !!!

    ordered it on line, it was shipped quickly, arrived as promised, put to use the very next game! Very happy with the feel an 'pop'. Why I continue to be a Phoenix Bat customer and why I encourage all my teammates to do the same!
