About The B72 Wood Baseball Bat:

The B72 professional player wood baseball bat is modeled after the wood bat swung by Derek Jeter of the Yankees. It is considered a gap hitter bat and is very well balanced.

This wooden bat features a smaller barrel than the Phoenix's R141 Popular Game Bat but with a longer barrel. The B72 pro bat's handle is fairly thin, transitioning in to a R141 style knob: a little bit of a taper from the handle in to a traditional style knob.

Typical user:

  • Extra bases hitter who likes a thin handle and a long barrel for more contact area
  • Player who likes to spray the ball backside but still barrel up the inside pitches
  • Yankee fan wanting to swing what Yankee captain/shortstop swung

    Great incentive for fundraiser!

    Had this bat custom with a burnt barrel and a black handle with gold lettering. This was the prize for our fundraiser and had the player customize the bat to his liking. He was driven to win this prize as a graduating senior and he loves it! Amazing quality!

    Bat was delivered a week early, really nice quality grain, color was maybe a shade lighter than it looks on the website. I’ve only hit a handful of times with it, so it’s a little too early to tell how good the durability is.

    I’ve bought a few bats from Phoenix now and this bat model is just the best. They are very good at using only the best quality wood. The B72, as described, is very balanced with a large sweet spot. It’s perfect for anyone from a contact hitter to gaps hitter. My first B72 lasted me a year and a half of year round baseball. It just took its last hack yesterday and now I just purchased my next one. I will be a Phoenix customer for life! Thank you Team Phoenix!

    Bat has really good pop and weight very evenly distributed. Couldn’t be happier I’ve had a lot of different wood bats but this one knocks it out of the park.
