About The K455 Fast Ship Youth Wood Bat:

Want a K455 really fast without any rush fees, but still with free text enrgaving? Our fast ships all come cupped, with a natural (no finish) handle and your choice of natural (no finish) or a solid barrel color.  Same pro grade wood, just done FASTER with no rush fees.  The only thing you sacrifice is the full customization options, but you can still make this one yours!

If ordered before 12pm EST Monday through Friday, your order will ship same-day if ALL NATURAL, or if a barrel color is selected it will ship the next business day.  Add a day if order is placed after 12 Noon EST.

The lightest of our youth bats, the K455 is designed like an adult bat in terms of shape, with the weight of a youth bat. It meets the specs required for youth bat play.

The K455 youth bat is perfect for those 10-11 year old players who have developed a little better control in order to avoid the inside pitches. It also gives them the opportunity to feel more like they are swinging a pro's bat.
For the younger youth (6-9 years old), the K455's modern design (faster transition from barrel to handle) makes for a great tool for establishing a big league swing.

Per Little League rule 1.10, bats for Little League (majors) and below, shall be a smooth, rounded stick and made of wood or of material tested and proved acceptable to Little League standards. It shall not be more than 33 inches in length, not be more than two and one-quarter inches in diameter, and if wood, not less than fifteen-sixteenth inches in diameter (7/8 inch for bats less than 30 inches) at its smallest part.
In regard to the new USA Baseball bat standard: solid, one-piece wood bats that adhere to Little League’s regulations will be allowed for play with or without the USA Baseball mark (see Rule 27). So, if you have a Phoenix wood youth bat and play in any youth league, you are all set!

    My son has been taking BP lately with a wooden bat as recommended by his instructor. He loves the feel when he makes solid contact so I thought this bat would be great for him. It's great quality and the engraving looks awesome. My son can't wait for his next BP lesson.

    Good bat, better service

    I bought this bat primarily because I needed one on short notice for a wood bat tournament my boy's team entered. Phoenix has the "fast ship" option. The second reason is that Phoenix has a precise specification for the weight of the bat. Many companies list a wide window of weights or only make dense maple drop 5s. I wanted a bat that was a closer match to his lighter swinging aluminum model. The bat was delivered right on time and when I put it on a scale it was within 1/2 ounce of the specification. If you realize that Phoenix is turning bats from natural billets that vary in density, that is quite an achievement in a two day turn around from the initial order. They also have good communication about your order status. What more can you ask for than a company that delivers on time, exactly what they advertise. My kid was happy with the bat and it was an easy transition to wood. When he's ready for his next bat, I be back to Phoenix.

    My son swung his first ever wood bat in a tournament this past weekend. He was very happy with the pop. The service was amazing and easy to order. The bat was ready very quickly. Brad as an amazing rep to work with and was extremely great with my son when we went on the tour of the facility. I am very pleased with every aspect of Phoenix Bats and will definitely be back for another.
